NOTE: Finally this one came available, I mentioned it before, I was beware of a trader that has low gens of 3 85 shows. Finally he made them available, a BIG thank you. This is the 2nd best of 3 shows filmed in the same manner during the 7800 F tour. At certain times during the beginning of the show, the filmer zooms in and gets some close shots, but then for whatever reason backs off again to the wide angle view. The quality on this one is far from perfect, but considering the only other copies I've seen around have been truly unwatchable B+W junk it's a really nice upgrade and pretty rare.

First video bootleg of the SWW tour with Jon's voice still being in quite a good shape.

The band was opening for Judas Priest that night and therefore didn't have a stage of their own.

The lightning is VERY DARK, often you can partly only guess where the guys are, though there at least there is the super trouper for Jon.

NOTE: Another angle that I never saw anywhere before. Unfortunately, due to it being about the 50th generation copy of the master recording and the recording position being not exactly perfect (filming into the sun from the pit), it rather looks like an amateur video of the Woodstock festival or something alike.

There are a lot of obstructions, but sill it’s the closest audience recording of BJ from the 80’s!

This show done at the Iowa State fair and from the position it was filmed it rather appears to be a backyard BBQ than a huge concert.

Jon even sprays the audience with a water hose during “In And Out Of Love”.

The recording doesn't even sound THAT bad, I removed some crackle from the sound afterwards.

A rare dvd, though the source is a mid-high generation transfer, very blurry sometimes, at least the colours are intact. I´m happy with it, but an upgrade is really needed from this one.

Combination of Mid and High Gen Source for (almost) complete coloured video

 

Notes: As this was always one of my favourite shows (regardless of Jon's shot voice) and one of only 2 Pro Shots from the great Slippery tour I took the time to make this one.

I reduced the heavy colour of my mid gen version (additionally some other filters were used for cleaning the video) and replaced many parts (either with colour issues or b/w) with snippets from my high gen version (which wasn't that good clarity vise but almost completely coloured).

Additionally I ripped the audio of my better mid gen copy and completely restored it. I think it turned out pretty nice.

The result is this video which is in colour almost all the time (except 2 parts on Wanted where both copies were b/w).

Be aware that this still isn't perfect by any means, but it's better than what I've seen around and a great video from a time were BJ were really kikcin' ass!

There are countless versions of this show available, one of them I made and shared around 4 years ago at this place.

Back then I combined two sources (one of them being overcoloured and the other being just crappy) to get a full-time coloured video.

Not long ago a friend from Italy send me a bunch of tapes including this show. I transferred and finished it months ago as the video was more stable (coming from one source) and at least shows a little more detail than the copy probably most of the Jovi collectors have.

After a good trading friend got back to me by stating that the older version sounded better to him I started working on the recording another time.

The old audio was quite thin, but the VHS transfer had a nice boost on the bass, but was dull in the high end parts.

So I made a matrix, mastering the older audio to be really quite thin and heavy on vocals and keys and mixing it (not equally) with the VHS audio.

Sounds crazy and some may not like, but to me the sound got clearer that way.

NOTE: Very nice PRO-SHOT from the massive New Jersey Tour. This dvd floats around in many many versions. My 1 DVD version has a so so video quality, really B. But the Audio sounds very good, (maybe a remaster with bootleg audio??). The 2 DVD is a minor UPGRADE for the video quality, Not much but you can see the difference. The audio is less than the 1 dvd version. Maybe someone can do a remake of this?? But I know there a very low gen available on a 2 DVD set. I´ll try to get my hands on that version.

Note:This is the most complete version of the Moscow Music Peace Festival. This footage is put together from two sources. The first one is the well-known and the second one is the Sky One footage Kathleen has shared here last year. I did my best to make it look the best. There is a never-ending discussion what setlists of night one and two were like and which song is from which night. After watching it hundred times (it is worth it!!) I've come to this conclusion: Lay Your Hands On Me and Wild In The Streets are from the first night and the rest is from the second night. I'm not sure about the jams but I think they are also from the second night, since they are all from the Sky One footage which seems to be a capture of a live broadcast. Still, not sure. My guess is that Give Peace A Chance is definitely from the second night. The background music in the menu is Blood On Blood. This version is a bit strange. The intro is from the first night but the rest of the song is from the second. I've used this song because of the different intro, so you have both intros ;)

NOTE: A real gem I never saw before. At the beginning the band is filmed from different positions while signing records for the fans. Then the band (or better Jon and Richie) are recorded from the street while they are performing two songs acoustic wise at a window on an upper floor of Tower Records. Richie’s microphone is as loud as the one Jon uses and he contributes a lot of powerful vocal parts. Unfortunately the tape I transferred this show from, was generated and had blurry and unstable colours (the video switches to b/w at times), so I used heavy filters to save as much quality as possible.

This is one of the most energetic shows I have ever seen from Bon Jovi! It may have been the only time they played "99 In The Shade" and "Wild Is The Wind" in one show. I transferred this off a VHS Tommy sent me from a fan from the Netherlands in early 2009. As the sound level of the tape (which was recorded in LP mode) was very low (you'll get an idea of it while watching the bonus clips) I ripped the audio from another DVD version I had kept of this show and remastered it.

This now was actually my second attempt at making it sound better, I still can't say I really succeeded, but I think I squuezed as much out of it as possible.

Let's re-live this magical era with video footage of all the songs that made the famous New Jersey album including "Cadillac Man" and "Diamond Ring", which were also written during that period of time. I rather tried to gather together the best performances of every song rather than just focussing on what was the best available footage of it. The result was that neither a recording from Tokyo 1988, nor Rio 1990 or Chile 1990 made it onto this compilation (something I didn't even realize until the moment I wrote it LOL).
